Registration for the 2009 season will begin August 1. Thanks to all those FFA Chapters who registered for this years program.
Bonnie Plants is proud to announce a partnership with the National FFA Organization to assist in promoting gardening to youth through the "Bonnie School Cabbage Program". We are excited about the FFA's willingness to become directly involved in delivering O.S. Cross cabbage plants to 3rd grade students throughout the United States. FFA members will actually go to the schools and conduct a classroom demonstration on how to plant and care for the cabbage.
Bonnie Plants has been a leader in vegetable and herb production for 80 years. One of our main missions over the years has been to promote gardening. The "Bonnie School Cabbage Program" has been very effective in doing just that. This program will embark on its eighth year in the spring of 2008. Bonnie awards a $1000 scholarship to one 3rd grade student in each participating state.
Through Bonnie's affiliation with the FFA, we will be co-sponsoring the Diversified Horticulture Proficiency. This is an award that the FFA gives to students who are interested in learning and working in the horticulture field.
