Places to See Vegetable and Herb Gardens Around the Country

It’s always fun to visit gardens and see how plants grow in other places. If you’re new to gardening, it is especially helpful just to see what they ought to look like!

Here is a list of public places where you can see herbs or vegetables or both near you or as you travel. They include public gardens, extension service demonstration gardens, historic gardens, and university gardens.

Visit the web site in advance to be sure the gardens are still open, and to check their hours and whether what you want to see is in season. If you find that information about a garden on our list needs to be updated, please let us know. Also, we would love to add gardens to our list.
