Celosia offers exotic, long-lasting color in warm weather. Plants produce full, feathery plumes for a strong vertical accent. Use the upright, feathery form in clusters for a beautiful contrast with other flowers in a bed. Or tuck plants into a window box or container. If you enjoy flower arranging, try growing a few extras to cut and bring indoors. The plumes also dry well. Once prized in Victorian gardens, celosia remains popular today as a unique source of long-lasting, heat-tolerant color.

Easy to grow in fertile, moist soil, celosia prefers warm, dry conditions. Plant after danger of frost is past. Water faithfully when young to encourage the plume development.
