ANNUAL • FULL SUN
  • Height: 18 to 24 inches
  • Spacing: 12 to 18 inches

Gerbera daisies are known for their cheery brilliant, rich colors and big blooms. Extremely popular and fashionable for thier simplicity and form, you can plant them in flower beds, window boxes, or containers. Combine them with the fine foliage of asparagus fern in a pot for a striking look.

Plant gerberas in spring in a spot with good drainage and full sun or very light shade. These plants thrive in sandy, well-drained soils. Water during dry weather. Feed with a liquid fertilizer diluted according to label directions every two weeks. Gerberas prefer mild temperatures. In hot weather, be patient, keep them watered, and they will bloom again in the fall until frost. Plant where they will get afternoon shade in areas where summers are hot.
